It is an EASY way to reduce gas fumes. It need no new technology, It puts THOUSANDS of people to work. It makes recycling a nationwide activity. _______________________________________________________ Congratulations on the Democrats winning the 2008 Elections. We expect them to lead us to GREEN jobs, to be created in our neighborhoods. Unfortunately at (http://www.stimuluswatch.org/) we can see that very few of the jobs are actually GREEN; and even fewer employ more than 100 people. (http://www.recovery.gov/Pages/home.aspx). And this is how the TEA PARTY will come after them. But we haven't given up. We're asking everyone to sponsor this campaign in their own state and bring it to their GOVERNORS. We want you to encourage them to build a M.E.R.F. at every landfill. A (M.R.F.) is a Materials Recovery Facility which sorts trash with from a single stream. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvd8ekI6Ma4 We've added the "E" for electronics which cause extreme harm to our environment and developing countries to whom we send our trash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETNaO2Pa8q4 We've learned that in San Jose, CA. (http://www.sjrecycles.org/residents/mrf.asp) that a M.R.F. can employ over 400 people. And in North Carolina, for example there are over 1,450 landfills. That's A LOT OF JOBS! The ESD (Environmental Services Department) is one of San Jose's largest and most visible departments. Among its major initiatives are to provide: Healthy streams, rivers, marshlands and Bay waters; Reliable water, garbage, and recycling services; Clean and green air, land and energy policy development; and Community education aimed at environmental sustainability WICKIPEDIA says: Biogas is usually produced using agricultural waste materials, such as otherwise unusable parts of plants and manure. Biogas can also be produced by separating organic materials from waste that otherwise goes to landfills. Such method is more efficient than just capturing the landfill gas it produces. Using materials that would otherwise generate no income, or even cost money to get rid of, improves the profitability and energy balance of biogas production.
